Step-by-step procedure

  1. Confirm the update is the latest laboratory test and its restore point is still available.
  2. Select Undo Lab Update.
  3. Keep the page open while QCUL restores database and files in restartable batches.
  4. Verify the laboratory returns to the previous extension/Joomla version.
  5. Open the laboratory frontend and administrator area and verify the original state.
  6. Refresh Updates if necessary and select Test in Lab again before any production push.

After undo

The tested update should become testable again when Joomla still offers it. QCUL verifies the restored version and basic lab routes. For higher-risk updates—especially Joomla core—perform the retest rather than pushing based on a test from before the restore cycle.

Preserve a known starting state
