Why Undo Lab Update May Be Unavailable
Undo Lab Update can be unavailable when the private environment no longer has a valid latest-operation restore point that QCUL can safely apply.
Common reasons
- The tested item is not the latest undoable lab update.
- Checkpoint creation never completed.
- The lab was refreshed or removed.
- The restore point/path was cleaned or damaged.
- A different current lab state makes the older checkpoint unsafe to apply.
Recovery path
If no valid undo exists, use a fresh production-derived laboratory and retest. Do not manually copy production files/database pieces into the lab and then treat the old evidence as current.
Prevent the problem
Keep the Laboratory page open during checkpoint/test/undo processing, resolve attention states promptly, and download evidence before destructive lifecycle actions.
Preserve a known starting state
Why Undo Lab Update May Be Unavailable is useful only when the restore point and current laboratory belong to the same latest test operation. If you cannot prove that relationship, refresh the laboratory from current production and perform a new test rather than manually reconstructing a state and reusing old evidence.
