Choosing the Undo Production Push Window

The Undo Production Push window defines how long a valid temporary QCUL production checkpoint remains available for rollback after the push.

Location: Joomla Administrator → Components → QC Update Laboratory → Settings.

Step-by-step procedure

1. Open QC Update Laboratory → Settings.
2. Under Laboratory Options, select the desired How long Undo Production Push remains available value.
3. Choose 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, or 4 hours based on the real live-review window.
4. Select Save Settings.
5. Before a future production push, choose the temporary QCUL rollback checkpoint option if you actually want QCUL Undo Production Push; the window does not apply to an external recovery method.

The setting is read as part of a future temporary checkpoint workflow. It cannot revive an already expired checkpoint or create rollback for a push that used an external recovery method.

Balance review and storage

A longer window gives more time for live review but retains private checkpoint data/storage longer. Use enough time for realistic acceptance, then let cleanup remove expired temporary data.

Recovery discipline
