Recommendation
Use 60 seconds unless measured browser/security latency makes it impractical. This value controls only how long an unused handoff remains eligible; it does not limit the duration of the impersonated frontend session after successful consume.
Expired means unusable
After expiry, issue a fresh handoff. Increasing the lifetime does not make a previously expired token valid again.
