Uninstalling QC User Impersonation

Uninstalling QC User Impersonation is a practical QCUI 1.0.03 workflow. Follow the current Joomla path and verify the resulting administrator/frontend state rather than relying on an older impersonation method.

Procedure

  1. Sign in to Joomla Administrator as a Super User.
  2. Open System → Install → Extensions.
  3. Upload plg_system_qcuserimpersonation-1.0.03.zip.
  4. After Joomla reports success, open any administrator page and confirm Impersonate User appears in the top status area.
  5. Open System → Manage → Plugins, search for System - QC User Impersonation, and confirm it is enabled.

Data consequence

The uninstall SQL explicitly drops both #__qcloginasuser_tokens and #__qcloginasuser_audit. If those audit rows matter to an external retention/compliance process, export them before uninstalling.

Uninstalling QC User Impersonation should be handled through Joomla’s extension installer/update lifecycle. The retained qcloginasuser identity, schema migrations, and uninstall SQL exist to make that lifecycle predictable; manual file/table surgery can create a state the released plugin was not designed to manage.
