Why You Cannot Impersonate Your Own Super User Account

Why You Cannot Impersonate Your Own Super User Account is a deliberate QCUI 1.0.03 behavior that protects administrator access, target-account safety, or the integrity of the one-time impersonation handoff.

Current rule

QCUI rejects a target whose user ID equals the issuing administrator ID.

Security reason

Use the existing administrator session for your own account; impersonation is intended to inspect another frontend identity.

Verification

Use the existing administrator identity for your own account and choose a separate ordinary frontend account when you need to test impersonation behavior.

Do not bypass Joomla account state

Why You Cannot Impersonate Your Own Super User Account should be resolved through normal Joomla user/ACL administration. QCUI deliberately refuses to impersonate accounts that Joomla or QCUI currently considers unsafe/ineligible; changing database flags or handcrafting a token would remove the controls the support workflow depends on.
