What it does
QC Membership Manager turns Joomla into a complete fixed-term membership and member-access system. Organize membership offers into Plan Groups, build responsive Plan cards and detailed Plan pages, add structured benefits and comparison tables, collect one-time payments through PayPal Card Fields, apply member account credit, and grant Joomla user-group access only after a membership is valid.Members use a polished My Membership area to review all current memberships and history, see Billing & Invoices, renew eligible memberships through the normal Plan Details and Checkout flow, cancel while retaining access through the configured end date, and use administrator-created custom Member Area tabs for Joomla Articles, Modules, or compatible Components. Direct links and checkout routes remain subject to the same server-side publication, access, and eligibility rules as ordinary navigation.
QCMM uses fixed-term memberships and one-time checkout rather than recurring PayPal subscription profiles. Free and full-credit checkout can complete without PayPal. Partial credit reduces the amount charged through PayPal. Paid checkout validates completed capture state, amount, and currency server-side before access is granted, preserves captured-payment evidence for recovery when local finalization is interrupted, and prevents a completed PayPal capture from being reused for another membership.
Renewals create a new linked membership record instead of overwriting history. Early paid renewals remain Scheduled until the current membership ends. QCMM processes the predecessor expiration and Joomla-group reconciliation before activating the successor, and it evaluates all current memberships before removing a shared Joomla group that another active membership still requires.
Lifecycle automation and reminders are core on every tier. QCMM uses Joomla Scheduled Tasks for frequent membership transitions, broader lifecycle/reminder processing, and automatic license revalidation. User-facing dates, times, schedule inputs, reports, membership dates, billing dates, and diagnostics follow the Joomla Site Time Zone while operational timestamps remain stored safely in UTC.
Pro adds Custom HTML Email Templates with tokens, two custom Member Area tabs, expanded Plan/Plan Group capacity, and Joomla-group controls for who can see or subscribe to a Plan. Max and All Access add unlimited Plan Groups, Plans, Joomla-group assignments and custom Member Area tabs, full Reports and CSV exports, and Scheduled Promotions. Promotions can use a percentage discount or fixed final sale price, target Plans or Plan Groups, target eligible customer/Joomla-group audiences, display original and sale pricing, and preserve the Promotion ID, name, original Plan price, and savings in billing/report history. Promotions never stack: the lowest eligible final price is offered, with saved ordering used only to break an equal-price tie.
Advanced Plan Gating & Entitlement beyond the current Joomla-group visibility/subscription controls is future scope and is not part of the QCMM 1.6.0 customer feature set.
