QuantaCade Licensing Is Now Keyless - Authorized Domains Replace License Keys QuantaCade has completed a major licensing improvement across our tiered Joomla extensions: current releases no longer require customers to copy, paste, or manage license keys inside Joomla. Instead, QuantaCade now uses Keyless Authorized Domain authentication. With the new system, your QuantaCade account and the domains authorized for your subscription determine the entitlement available to each extension. The extension securely verifies that it is running on an authorized Joomla installation and receives the appropriate Basic, Pro, Max, or All Access entitlement automatically. What this means for customers There is no longer a license key field that needs to be filled out when installing or configuring a current QuantaCade extension. The new process is much simpler: - Install or update the QuantaCade extension. - Add the website to Authorized Domains in your QuantaCade account when required for your subscription. - The extension verifies the domain and resolves the appropriate entitlement automatically. That’s it. Existing license keys are not being deleted This change does not erase our existing licensing history. Older license keys remain in the QuantaCade system for compatibility with previous extension releases, account history, upgrades, and support purposes. If a current installation still contains an older saved key, it may appear as a Legacy License Key. It can be cleared without removing the extension's data or its Authorized Domain entitlement. Current releases simply no longer require that key. Authorized Domains are now the primary licensing control Authorized Domains are managed through your QuantaCade account rather than entered during extension checkout or normal Joomla configuration. This also gives us a much cleaner separation between: - the subscription you purchased, - the websites authorized to use it, - and the entitlement the extension currently receives. The 30-Day Max Preview is keyless too Eligible Basic installations can also start the 30-Day Max Preview without obtaining a temporary license key. The preview is activated explicitly from the extension, verified against the installation's domain, and managed centrally by QuantaCade. Its original start and expiration dates remain fixed throughout the preview. Why we made the change License keys work, but they add unnecessary steps for customers. You have to find the key, copy it, paste it into Joomla, keep track of which key belongs to which product, and deal with it again when moving or rebuilding a site. Authorized Domain authentication lets QuantaCade handle that relationship directly. The goal is simple: Install the extension. Authorize the domain. Use the software. This has been a significant licensing architecture upgrade across the QuantaCade platform, and it lays a much cleaner foundation for future releases, subscriptions, All Access, upgrades, and account management. If you are already running a current QuantaCade release, there is generally nothing special you need to do beyond keeping the extension updated and managing your Authorized Domains through your QuantaCade account.

Custom Development and Extension Modernization is Here QuantaCade now officially offers Custom Joomla Development and Extension Modernization. Not every Joomla project fits an off-the-shelf extension. Sometimes you need something built specifically for your workflow. Other times, you already have an extension that does exactly what you need—but it has fallen behind Joomla, PHP, or other parts of the modern environment. QuantaCade can now help with both. Extension Modernization Have a useful Joomla extension that was left behind? If you have access to the source code and the right to modify it, QuantaCade can review the extension and determine what would be required to bring it forward. Modernization may include: Current Joomla compatibility Current PHP compatibility Replacement of deprecated APIs and code Updated installation and database handling Administrator and frontend interface improvements Security and architecture improvements New functionality or integrations Partial or complete rebuilding when necessary Some extensions only need targeted updates. Others may require substantial modernization. Each project is reviewed before a scope and price are established. How Projects Work The process is straightforward: Tell us what you need built, changed, or modernized. We review the project and complete any necessary discovery. QuantaCade provides a flat-rate project quote. If you decide to proceed, the project is documented through a Custom Development Agreement and project-specific Statement of Work. A 30% deposit is paid before development begins. Development, review, and the included revision process are completed. The remaining 70% balance is paid before final production delivery, deployment, or transfer of the completed project files. Two revision rounds are normally included for work that remains within the agreed scope, and the standard correction period is 30 days unless the project specifies otherwise. Material changes to the agreed project are handled through a written Change Order so scope and pricing remain clear. Have Something in Mind? QC Membership Manager Coupon System Now Available QC Membership Manager now includes a full coupon system alongside its existing scheduled promotion tools. Coupons can be configured for different eligibility and pricing situations, including: - All users - Selected Joomla user groups - Specifically assigned individual users - All plans or selected plans - Selected Plan Groups - Site-credit compatibility rules - Different interactions with active sale pricing Coupon behavior can be configured to: - Stack with an active promotion - Apply only to regular-price items - Compare the promotion price and coupon price and automatically use the better price without stacking Coupon discounts are also tracked separately from other pricing adjustments so reporting can preserve visibility into regular price, promotion discounts, coupon discounts, site credits, and the final paid amount. Individually assigned coupons can be surfaced directly to the assigned user, while group and public coupons remain available without unnecessary assignment emails. This feature is now part of the current QC Membership Manager experience.

QC Live Forum 1.1.19 Released QC Live Forum 1.1.19 is now available. This release improves the handling of deleted Topics and Category cleanup. Key changes include: - Restored frontend access to the Deleted Topics area for effective moderators - Improved moderator detection for forum-wide assigned moderators - Deleted Topics can be restored or permanently deleted from the frontend - Deleted Topics are automatically eligible for permanent cleanup after the configured retention period - Category deletion now handles retained deleted Topics more cleanly - Active Topics still protect a Category from accidental deletion - Existing moderation and safety checks remain in place This release continues the cleanup and moderation work added in the recent QCLF updates. If you are running an earlier version of QC Live Forum, update through your normal QuantaCade/Joomla update process.
