Custom Joomla Development

Extension Modernization

Have a useful Joomla extension that was left behind?

If you have access to the source code and the right to modify it, QuantaCade can review the extension and determine what would be required to bring it forward.

Modernization may include:

• Current Joomla compatibility
• Current PHP compatibility
• Replacement of deprecated APIs and code
• Updated installation and database handling
• Administrator and frontend interface improvements
• Security and architecture improvements
• New functionality or integrations
• Partial or complete rebuilding when necessary

Some extensions only need targeted updates. Others may require substantial modernization. Each project is reviewed before a scope and price are established.

How Projects Work

The process is straightforward:

1. Tell us what you need built, changed, or modernized.
2. We review the project and complete any necessary discovery.
3. QuantaCade provides a flat-rate project quote.
4. If you decide to proceed, the project is documented through a Custom Development Agreement and project-specific Statement of Work.
5. A 30% deposit is paid before development begins.
6. Development, review, and the included revision process are completed.
7. The remaining 70% balance is paid before final production delivery, deployment, or transfer of the completed project files.

Two revision rounds are normally included for work that remains within the agreed scope, and the standard correction period is 30 days unless the project specifies otherwise.

Material changes to the agreed project are handled through a written Change Order so scope and pricing remain clear.
